If you're like me and use Chrome to browse most sites rather than install dozens of individual apps, then you are likely familiar with Chrome's full screen video viewer. Whenever you enter a video, the screen orientation is locked to match the orientation of the video (thanks to the introduction of the #video-fullscreen-orientation-lock Chrome flag which is now enabled by default). This can be a bit jarring if your phone is really wide and you have to reach across the screen to hit a tiny button to exit full screen mode.
If that bothers you, then try enabling this Chrome flag in chrome://flags. It is called the rotate-to-fullscreen gesture for videos and what it does is automatically enters or exits full screen mode when you rotate your phone to or from the orientation of the video. For instance, if you are watching a video on YouTube in landscape mode, all you have to do to exit full screen is orient your device in the portrait orientation.
You can enable this flag by copying and pasting this address into your URL bar:
chrome://flags#video-rotate-to-fullscreen
Enjoy!
Also if you've been holding off of enabling the experimental "Chrome Home" flag which completely redesigns the Google Chrome UI, I suggest that you reconsider. The redesign has made a lot of progress in recent months by fixing UI bugs and revamping the way certain features look.
