Hi
Galax Tab S2 SM-T710
I accidentally allowed the update to 6.0.1 a few months back but did not have the password because I never used it after day 1, always used fingerprint. So when it says I can't use fingerprint enter password, I am stumped. Samsung or Android seem to think that a password that has not been used more than once 6 months ago is more secure than my fingerprint that is used several times a day. Can't figure out why, really.
I called Samsung, they won't roll it back.
I have seen the video that says tap build number 7 times to get to developer mode, does not work. USB etc.
I have created another user but cannot access original users space.
Device not registered on samsung find my phone and Android device mngr won't apply a new password.
So if I do not want to to do a hard reset and lose the original users data, is there a work around?
I have never rooted a device so be gentle with me. ; > )
security version mdfv2.0 r6.
vpn v1.4 r 6.1
patch level 2 april 2016
Many thanks
