[Dev-talk] [Kernel development] wlan/wifi and other modules failing, not being updated

Hi guys,

alright, so this should be a pretty "standard" question,

but I'm still having issues to solve it:

I'm getting errors like the following:

Quote:

<4>[ 8.899871] ecryptfs: Unknown symbol wake_up_process (err -22)
<6>[ 10.418523] subsys-pil-tz fe200000.qcom,lpass: adsp: Power/Clock ready interrupt received
<6>[ 10.456267] subsys-pil-tz fe200000.qcom,lpass: Subsystem error monitoring/handling services are up
<6>[ 10.462157] platform fe034000.sound: Driver msm8994-asoc-snd requests probe deferral
<4>[ 10.480352] wlan: Unknown symbol sched_setscheduler (err -22)
<4>[ 10.480426] wlan: Unknown symbol wake_up_process (err -22)
<4>[ 10.915183] texfat: Unknown symbol wake_up_process (err -22)
...
<4>[ 54.177317] core_ctl: Unknown symbol core_ctl_get_policy (err -22)
<4>[ 54.177351] core_ctl: Unknown symbol set_user_nice (err -22)
<4>[ 54.177375] core_ctl: Unknown symbol wake_up_process (err -22)
<4>[ 54.177490] core_ctl: Unknown symbol core_ctl_put_policy (err -22)
The thing is:

I've removed the exfat driver from the kernel source !

So how and why is it still being loaded - where is it stored above all ?

And how to update it ?

This is sort of like a Gentoo user (which I am) figuring out why the modules that are included in a packaged up blob are re-occuring

Hope you guys can help me out with this one since this is massively hindering kernel development and evaluation what commits work best for our device (performance, stability, battery runtime, etc.) :(

Thanks !
